The Belarusian State Institute of Industrial Design «Belpromproekt» was established in 1949, in accordance with Decree No. 839 of 07/21/49. See the BSSR and Decree No. 4041 of 09/23/49. SM of the USSR.

Since its inception, Belpromproekt is the leading design organization of the republic and a recognized leader in the field of industrial design. Since September 14, 2000 Belpromproject is a project republican unitary enterprise, which is owned by the Republic of Belarus and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.

Since its foundation, Belpromproekt has designed over two thousand objects. According to the Institute’s projects, industrial complexes, modern enterprises, research, commercial, business and financial centers, residential, public and educational buildings, which were highly appreciated and widely recognized, were built in the republic and abroad. Among them: a factory of electronic computers, a watch factory, a refrigerator factory, NPO Center, an NGO GRANAT in Minsk, a carpet factory, an electric lamp factory, a gas equipment factory in Brest, an electric motor factory in Luninets, a branch of the Minsk Tractor Plant in Smorgon, a branch of the Minsk Motor Plant in Stolbtsy.

Belpromproekt’s assets include unique automobile industry enterprises, car dealerships, car sales and service centers, and modern garages. Among them: automobile plants in Minsk, Mozyr, Dzerzhinsk, car sales and service centers of Mercedes-Benz, BMW-RiMi, Volkswagen, garages and motor vehicles of the Presidential Administration, ambulance, Amkodor JSC »

Considerable work is being done by the enterprise designing large sports facilities. Designed and built: Hockey Palace on the street. Pritytsky in Minsk, Sports Palaces in Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Bobruisk, Mogilev, etc. A reconstruction project of the Sports Palace in Minsk was completed.

Belpromproject actively cooperates with foreign investor firms. The first facility was a lime plant in g. Clean, where the investor was the Klekner concern. Then, a trade and representative complex was designed for the Mercedes-Benz company, the Coca-Cola plant in the Kolyadichi industrial center, and the medical products factory in the town of Fanipol (investor — Danish company Maersk Medical) and others. According to Belpromproject’s projects, a number of facilities were built in the Russian Federation.

The quality system of the enterprise is certified by BelGIM on March 17, 2002. for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001 and confirmed on November 8, 2004, December 19, 2007, December 19, 2010.
